We use Mattermost for the internal communication at Extinction Rebellion and me and some other users are quite annoyed that the direct messages list in the menu is sorted alphabetically, not chronologically. So when I’m talking to someone and quickly have to look something up in another channel and I forgot the name of the user I was just talking to, I always have to check all the messages to find my last conversation. It would make more sense to order the direct messages list chronologically, so I could see my latest conversation at the top of the list. Is that possible?

Couldnt agree more. I am surprised this hasnt been picked up in all these years
@nommaz and @Slashdot In the Left Sidebar under the ‘Direct Messages’ category there is a ••• icon that has a sort option where you can choose ‘Recent activity’ instead of ‘Alphabetically’. Is that what you’re looking for?
