Summary
If you have installed the Mattermost Desktop client at the same time as 7-Zip on a Windows 10 computer, you can no longer extract archives with 7-Zip using the Windows Explorer context menu.
Steps to reproduce
- Install 7-Zip (version 19.00) (at our company: via SCCM)
- Install Mattermost desktop client (version 4.6.1) (at our company: via SCCM)
- Open windows explorer and right-click on a .zip/.7z/.tar file => 7-Zip => Extract files…
- an error message will pop-up (see “Observed behavior”)
Expected behavior
- While clicking on “Extract files…” a 7-zip dialog should appear
Observed behavior
Error message: “Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden. C:\Program Files\Mattermost-desktop\resources\app.asar.unpacked\node_modules\7zip\7zip-lite\7zG.exe”
(“The system cannot find the specified file”)
