I’m switching from Slack to Mattermost and haven’t found a documentation or description to use Mattermost with an IRC client. Is there such possibility or is there something planned?

There’s community members wanting to help build IRC integration. We’re working on creating and documenting the Mattermost API support needed to achieve this.
Actually, since the feature was requested, the APIs have largely stabilized following our v1.0 release. It’s probably time to start discussing how this could be built…,
