this has been discussed a couple times already. This is a feature that is unfortunately only part of the Mattermost Enterprise editions and is not available in the free Team edition.

How to disable permission to modify channels by every user?

Summary Any registered user can modify the channel Steps to reproduce Im using the free version. Expected behavior Any registered user can modify the channel as an Admin, i was trying to resolve that issue, but wih no success, sorry if that question were here before. Observed behavior As admin i cannot change permission of any user to modify the channels, i don’t think that the Free version is the problem

How to add a policy enabling only certain people to delete public channels and private groups?

Hi, We start to evaluate Mattermost and I don’t find a way to prevent deletion for channels and private groups. Every team member can delete everything. Is there a way to restrict deletion? I did not found anything.
