AD Authentification with E10 version

I have a question about AD authentification with E10 version. Is it really an authentification ? or only a synchronization. If it’s only authentification, what about password ? An so, what is the difference between E10 and 20 for AD authentification ?

It is an authentication method and I believe it’s the same for both E10 and E20, see docs for more: https://docs.mattermost.com/deployment/sso-ldap.html.

However, E20 also offers AD/LDAP Groups Sync https://docs.mattermost.com/deployment/ldap-group-sync.html.
